Donna F. Ike of Waverly Township died Thursday June 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years Charles Ike.
Born in Scranton she was the daughter of Dolores Forgione and the late Charles Forgione. A graduate of Scranton Central High School, Class of 1972. She attended St. Francis DeSales University for acoounting, and graduated with a degree in teaching from Mansfield University. She worked in accounting for Samsung in Manhattan and was also a teacher in the Allentown School District. A talented artist, she enjoyed stenciling and creating works of art for friends and family. She took pride in her gardening and decorating her home. Her hospitality was effortless and many family and friends passed through their doors in Waverly Township and Sailfish Point in Florida.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Donna’s family greatly appreciated all,of the incredible support they received from friends, family, Johns Hopkins, VNA-Hospice and the staff at Delta Medix, Morgan Highway.
Also surviving are son Christian Ike, California; daughter Jordan Ike, California; brothers Charles Forgione and wife Linda, Scranton, Neil Forgione and wife Julie, Florida; sister Tina Ford and husband Gary, Clarks Summit; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
